A GREAT testimonial!
'I first met Adriane when she was an applied sport and exercise sciences student at the University of East London in 2012.
I was very quickly impressed with her enthusiasm, reliability and her attention to detail. I was fortunate that she chose to do her dissertation (the final and biggest piece of work students do) under my supervision. What Adriane produced was the best dissertations I have seen from an undergraduate student in my time at UEL (I have been here since 2002). Again her attention to detail, enthusiasm and reliability made her the stand out student in my time as a lecturer.
If I had children I would definitely send them to Muddy Boots. I would have complete confidence that they would develop, have fun and be very well looked after. It does not surprise me at all that she has become so successful.'James Beale, Chartered Sport and Exercise Psychologist and Senior Lecturer at the University of East London .
A testimonial from one of my athletes.
I was lucky enough to have Coach Adriane. She coached me for my four years in the volleyball program at my school. When she first started coaching me, it was my first year playing volleyball and she taught me how to play. She could recognise that I had no clue what was going on, and whilst the team practiced drills, I was on the side doing basic drills on learning how to Set, and Receive. A season after that I was chosen to be part of the Varsity team, where she introduced me to the libero position. She pushed all of us, knowing our potential as a team, and wouldn’t stop until she knew we were really trying. In my last year at school, I was chosen for the Varsity team again and this year was a rebuilding year, because most of our players had left. Regardless, she still held us to high standards, and pushed all of us, and as a result we won the championships. She taught us that it’s not only about skill, but about teamwork, and looking out for each other. Overall, my experience under Coach Adriane has been amazing and I’m only sad that I won’t be here next year to train under her again.
A little bit about Adriane
At the age of 16, Adriane was given the opportunity to become assistant coach to the younger players in a school for those aged between 6 and 9 years. This was an opportunity that she relished and learned a lot from such as how to encourage a young player’s commitment and creativity.
At 19, Adriane moved to England from Brazil where she worked as a nanny of all ages for a period over 9 years. It was a great experience for Adriane as it aided her understanding of children development.
Adriane attended the University of East London where she studied BA (Hons) in Sports Coaching with Early Childhood Studies and received a First Class degree. During her degree, Adriane was introduced to the scientific aspects of coaching such as anatomy, physiology, movement analysis and she also studied the pedagogical aspects of coaching along with Early Childhood Studies which gave a fascinating insight into the way children experience their childhoods and how that experience influences them as they develop. Furthermore, it only enhanced her belief and passion even further – of running a business where children can learn the fun and enjoyment of participating in sport.
Adriane has been working as a sports coach for different schools and she also has experience working with children with Special Education Needs. Along with the degree, Adriane also has achieved many sports coaching qualifications including:
Level 1 Volleyball coaching – UKCC
Level 1 Tennis coaching – UKCC
Level 1 Football coaching- FA
Athletics coaching assistant award – UKA
Level 2 Gym instructors – REPs
Level 2 Multi-skills in sports development – UKCC
Safeguarding & Protection Children
First aid trained, DBS and Overseas police checked
Adriane loves playing volleyball and have won two National Cup Trophies with her team in the UK.
Passion for Coaching
Adriane has over 10 years experience in coaching. She has been working as head coach for The American School in England known as TASIS for the last four years. In 2016 the Varsity boys team competed at the European Championships in the International Schools Sports Tournament and Adriane led the boys for the first place in the tournament. It was a great accomplishment for the school and the team. Gold boys!
